Food overpriced and not too my liking for healthier vegetarian fare... bith times i have visited over the last 2 1/2 years, i have left paying a large bill and still hungry.

Good place to eat. Sandwiches, soups and a bunch of desserts to choose from.. Also has gre as t variety of drinks. quaint little place.

The eclairs and turnovers always make their way home with me. Soooooooo good!!

Such a cute luttle treasure in a small town. Aspen Leaf has amazing desserts, but it also has a wonderful lunch menu with lots of yummy options. Definitely worth a visit!

Delicious pastries, pies & rolls as well as full lunch menu. We purchased bakery items & were not disappointed!

don't come in here unless you want your mouth to water and the next problem is making a choice of all the good pastries. Big city quality in a little town. also really nice lunches.

Great, friendly staff, good regular coffee

Multiple problems with my order. Never quite got it right. I ordered a reuben and I got a Cuban. I ordered chips and I got salad twice. I had to go get silverware twice. And the Reuben was about the most mediocre Reuben I've ever had -- really not a very good Reuben at all. Was way too much cheese way too much dressing and almost no meat. The proprietor had obviously never been to New York.

Love the atmosphere, coffee is awesome. Love the Mediterranean salad. Very friendly service. We just moved to area, this wonderful get away. They are one of the reasons why.

Fun little place. I had the cherry cheese pastry and it was delicious. Someone had recommended their coffee, apparently it is specially brewed for them. Be but my take on it is that it was on the weak side. Also, there are no specialty coffee drinks available, only drip coffee. The seating area was fun, a little cramped, but kinda got a grandma's dining room feel to it. Perfect for the antique shopper clientele.

Top Notch people. Top notch food and drink. If you're in the area don't pass this up. It's a real treasure. Highly recommended especially for lunch

Fantactix food absolutely delicious

Really enjoyed my lunch there. Had a fantastic sallad. It was designed with pleasure in mind. You just wanted to eat it slowly. Almost got sad when it was over. So got a cinnamon roll to go and life is good.

The food here is pretty good but it is pricey. I used to think that the price was worth it because the portions were huge. Unfortunately the prices have stayed the same and the portion sizes have gone down. I used to leave with leftovers. Today when I left I was still not totally full. The 10-minute drive to Coyote's Den in Penrose is well worth it. Their prices and portions are more fair and the food is equal or better quality.

Loved this family owned spot. I ordered a very simple breakfast so I don't know much about the menu. The staff was very sweet though.

I enjoy the food . The Italian sub sandwich is outstanding & the Cuban is the bomb. I highly recommend them.

If you go through Florence, stop here. I LOVE everything I've ever had. I get the mushrooms melt on a croissant regularly, delicious. All the pastries are good, so irresistible.

So glad to have found this bakery / restaurant! The staff and owner are very friendly and helpful. The cafe is a nice, cozy place to sit and relax, maybe bring something small to work on while you sip the many varieties of tea offered. If you have nothing to keep busy while drinking tea, don't worry! There are lots of amazing arts and crafts made by local artists hanging on the walls. It's fun to look at all of the crafts here.I'm vegan, but there are still many options for me here! The owner is always more than happy to add different things to the veggie burger or mushroom melt and to me, that is a very rare and excellent service!Thank you, and looking forward to coming in again!

Very warm, inviting atmosphere. My favorite is the hot Italian sandwich. My wife and I usually share one to save room for the delicious dessert! Super cool owner always with a smile.

Food was good, although a bit on the pricey side. You order at the counter and they carry your order to the table .I found it quite disappointing that after leaving a 20% tip we never were given the glass of water we asked for when placing our order. The guitar player/singer was great and a nice treat for lunchtime. After dishing out $30.00 for lunch for 2 wraps w/salty chips (including $5.00 tip) we left feeling a bit thirsty.

You have JUST GOT to get one of their chocolate covered Macaroons! If you are a coconut and chocolate afficianato, THIS is THE place to go! They also have some of the most delish sandwiches and pasta dishes! Take it from my personal experience! I absolutely LOVE the service and food here! Better come hungry though!

So good. Vegan options. The bread pudding isn't vegan but that was delightful. Very friendly, definitely worth the extra drive if you're in Canon City.

My husband and I have gone to this bakery several times. Today we walked in to buy some pastries. There was a note on the door apologizing for having to wear face masks. Whatever, we went in anyway but turned around and walked right out. One of the employees was not wearing a mask. Obviously, they are opposed to the mandate and only pretend to follow it. If these people have so little regard for the safety of their customers and staff it’s not a place I want to support. I will spread the word.

As a family of 7 we had a FABULOUS breakfast this morning at The Aspen Leaf Bakery and Cafe, biscuits and gravy and coffee...mmmm the staff was WONDERFUL friendly and very knowledgeable about the area, well worth a stop!

It's a nice place with good choices for lunch. I had a panini and it was good, but it looked like the best choice for lunch would have been the chili in a bread bowl.

We love Aspen Leaf for their baked goods and delicious sandwiches, but today they had no Ginger Peach tea, so we'll have to go back another time.

Tried place twice during a stay in Florence. 1st visit - Obviously they are not known for their Chai tea it was not stirred, very bland 1 time. The egg burrito she asked if I wanted cheese which I found in my last bite clumped at the base of the burrito. 2nd visit asked for Chai to be stirred, it was lukewarm & when I walked it to the counter asking her to microwave it, I was told bluntly "no refills". I tried to explain I would pay for more & wanted it heated. Was told by owner who walked from the back, "no". I walked out... will not return. Quiche was bland.

More than a bakery, this is a restaurant and they sell a variety of mostly local merchandise from cute backpacks to artwork and even some handcrafted jewelry (see my photos for examples). Food is good, sandwiches on bread they bake from scratch and very good soups they make instead of get out of a can. And lots of baked goods, some breads as well as many deserts ( always cookies and pies). Always very clean. During nice weather they put a couple of small tables out front for outdoor seating. This is a small locally owned business.

Out of this world!! The ambience is as if you were sitting in a fancy cafe in Aspen, Breckenridge or Vail!! In the heart of Florence Colorado on Main Street!! Authentic southern Bread Pudding with a existite Vanilla Cream Sauce. Cream of Mushroom that warms my soul!! the owner has a warm gorgeous smile and authentic genuine sense of hospitality that reminds me of being home for the holidays! God Bless!

I'm going to have to start checking my orders before I leave. They forgot to put cheese in the salad. .. and they weren't even that busy. I was the only customer in the place

The quiche is great! Its flavorful, light, and airy. The pastry was absolutely sinful! On top of all of that, there is great art and antiques displayed and for sale. We have always loved the people there. They are friendly and warm.
